What They Knew 80 Years Ago Still Applies

Whenever I find a great resource for personal growth I share it. Today is one of those days.

It’s a movie (also a book) that has changed thousands of lives over the last 80 years. It’s been particularly powerful for me in my life and my business. I hope you find it helpful, too.

Check it out and see if it speaks to you, too.

Over 90 years ago a young reporter, Napoleon Hill, went to interview Andrew Carnegie for an article he was writing. Carnegie was the richest man in the world at the time.

What Hill didn’t know was that Carnegie was interviewing him.

Andrew Carnegie had amassed a fortune by this time and it was his strong desire to find a way to help the average person also lead a wealthier life. Not only financially but wealthy in all areas. Wealth in their physical health, wealth in their relationships. And, yes, wealth in their business or career as well.

It’s a fascinating story about how the interview went, but suffice to say that Napoleon Hill agreed to be Carnegie’s protege and went on to study the richest people in the world to discover what the common denominators were so that he could share that information with regular people like us.

The result of that 20-year study was a book published in 1937 called, “Think and Grow Rich”. Maybe you’ve heard of it. The ideas are just as valid today as they were in 1937, as you’ll see when you watch the movie.

The book is something I think everyone should have in their personal library. Mine is dog-eared and written in, I read it so often. If you’re interested in the book, here’s a link, Think and Grow Rich.

A great primer for the book is the movie. Here’s a link to watch, rent or buy the movie, Think and Grow Rich the Legacy Movie.

**A great way to experience this classic work is to invite family and friends to come over for a movie night or study the book in a book group. The discussion afterwards is guaranteed to be powerful.

So, what does Think and Grow Rich have to do with DreamBuilding? Everything.

The principles in this book align themselves beautifully with the principles in DreamBuilding.

Stay tuned for this my weekly blog this month about key elements of this book.

Whatever you decide email me with your thoughts. I’d love to hear them!
